“ Yosef welcomed me at the door with a warm greeting and a beautiful smile etched on his face, making me feel from the very first moment as if I were a cherished guest in the home of an old friend. He accompanied me on a brief tour inside the riad, eagerly telling me about the place's ancient history and the details of the authentic Fassi cuisine they are keen to present. As I began to climb the narrow stairs toward the upper terrace, the delicious aromas of the kitchen danced ahead of me in the air: the scent of chicken infused with a magical blend of spices and herbs, accompanied by fragrant whiffs emanating from the clay tagines in the kitchen. The moment I reached the terrace, I was mesmerized by the scene: a tranquil space lit by lanterns under a star-studded sky, with a enchanting view over the rooftops of the old city. I took my designated seat, and after a few minutes, the waiter, Sufian, approached me warmly, holding the menu in his hands to patiently and courteously explain all the available traditional dishes, smiling as he recounted stories of their origins. When it came time to choose, I did not hesitate to order the meatball and egg tagine and the fragrant Fassi couscous dish, excited to finally taste with my own mouth what I had smelled from afar. ”

“ Tonight my partner and I had dinner at restaurant Tresor, a very nice place with a rooftop with view of Fes . There we could choose between the rooftop itself or one level lower. The food was amazing, the starter were different salades with bred and Olives, I can't even explain what's in it but it was delicious! The main course we had beef and kefta tagine which were both very tasty. As dessert there was Moroccan mint tea with cookies. Thank you for the kind service Mohammed and Soufiane. Speaking very good English . I would go back without hesitation. ”

The many deliciously seasoned vegetarian salads were a great way to start the meal, and our entrees ( chicken and prune tagline and couscous) were some of the best food we've had in Morocco. They even helped us walk back to our hotel when we got lost on the way. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant. We will back again ”
